WGO’s Second Anniversary cum GOALS Award Presentation Ceremony

World Green Organisation (WGO) celebrated its Second Anniversary cum Green Office Awards Labelling Scheme (GOALS) Award Presentation Ceremony on 11th December, 2014 in Bank of America Tower. WGO invited government officials, business leaders and pioneers from the environmental protection sectors to attend the Ceremony. All of the guests were thrilled by such a wonderful event. GOALS is WGO’s flagship programme. It was launched in 2013 and, thus far, 170 companies and organisations have participated in this innovative programme. After participating in a series of training courses, qualified companies have received the green office award. Today, WGO is pleased to see nearly 70 offices receive the green office award, and qualified companies will be awarded with WGO’s “Green Office” and “UNMDG’s “Better World Company” labels.

In the Second Anniversary Celebration of WGO, our Chairman of the Board of Governors, Michael Lai, BBS, MH, JP, delivered the welcoming speech. The Hon. Lam Woon-kwong, GBS, JP also delivered a speech. Officiating guests included: Mr. Zaw Zaw Soe, Consulate General of Myanmar; Ms. Sharon Lau, Acting Director of Hong Kong Observatory; Mr. Bobby Ng, BBS, JP, Deputy Director, Water Supplies Department; Mr. Albert Oung, President, WGO; and Dr. William Yu, Chief Executive Officer, WGO. WGO was so honoured to have the Choir from Cambridge University to sing for us; their beautiful songs brought meaning and joy to our ceremony.
