Tientip Subhanij is Chief of Financing for Development in the Macroeconomic Policy and Financing for Development Division of ESCAP. She has extensive experience in macroeconomics, financial sector, and international trade and investment issues. Throughout her career, she has served in several managerial and professional positions in academia and policy institutions, including the Bank of Thailand, the Stock Exchange of Thailand, Bank for International Settlements and South East Asian Central Banks. She obtained her PhD in Economics from the University of Cambridge and has published widely in the areas of macroeconomic policies, financial sector issues, and international finance and business.

Masato Abe is an Economic Affairs Officer in the Macroeconomic Policy and Financing for Development Division, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), Bangkok. He has extensive experience in enterprise development with a special emphasis on the SME sector, supply chain management, socially responsible business and access to finance. Prior to joining the secretariat of the United Nations, he worked in the global automotive, electronics and high-technology industries. He has so far published numerous books, book chapters, journal articles, policy papers and others for various outlets, such as ADB, ADBI, ESCAP, IRU, OECD, UNCTAD, UNDRR, UNIDO and WTO. He holds degrees in marketing, business administration and economics, and is a research fellow at Thammasat University, Bangkok.

Quynh Huong Nguyen is an Economic Affairs Consultant at the Information and Communications Technology and Disaster Risk Reduction Division (IDD), United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), Bangkok. She has extensive experience in international trade and investment issues. She has served as a lecturer at Viet Nam National University of Ho Chi Minh city and an assistant professor at Ritsumeikan University, Japan. She is Ph.D Candidate in International relations at Ritsumeikan University, Japan and published several papers foreign direct investment issues in Asia.

Mr Chan was appointed the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury on 16 August 2017.
Mr Chan has many years of senior executive experience in the banking industry. He was a Managing Director in the Global Markets Division of Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, and was a Managing Director in Financial Markets of Standard Chartered Bank.
Prior to joining the Government, Mr Chan held multiple roles in a number of public and professional bodies, including Vice President of the Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts, Director of Hong Kong Securities & Investment Institute, Advisor of the Chinese Gold & Silver Exchange Society, as well as a General Committee member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. Mr Chan was also a member of the Central & Western District Council.
Mr Chan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Hon) and Psychology from the University of Michigan, USA. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Dr. William Yu is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of World Green Organisation (WGO). Dr. Yu is an energy economist and climate professional by training and completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge. He also earned an Executive MBA degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona State University in the U.S. Additionally, Dr. Yu had gained valuable regional management experience by working at US multinationals and a financial institution. Dr. Yu is currently the Adjunct Professor of several local and overseas universities.
Currently, Dr. Yu is the ESBN Task Force Member of The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) of United Nations. Dr. Yu sits in the Steering Committee of FOOD-CO of the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund. He also serves in the working group of Sustainability Charter, Hong Kong and Malmo, Sweden, and is a Faculty of The Hong Kong Green Building Council. Dr. Yu belongs to the Air Quality Objectives Review Working Group of HK Environmental Protection Department, and is a Member of the Appeal Board Panel, Town Planning as well as Sustainable Development Council, HK SAR Government.
Dr. Yu has served as Deputy Chairman of Final Judging Panel of Smart Living Award and Head Assessor in Smart Healthcare Stream, The Hong Kong ICT Awards. He is the Chairman of the Judging Panel of BDO ESG Awards. He advises investment banks and public accounting firms on Sustainable Investing and ESG reporting, respectively. Dr. Yu is also appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of a publicly listed company.

AIper Aras have worked successfully for many years in international financial regulations including financial inclusion, capital market development, climate finance and Basel Accords at different institutions such as the IMF, the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency of Turkey, UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and Bank for International Settlement. Recently, AIper worked as a consultant and Regional Advisor For Finance and Development at UNECAP. Previous to that he had also an opportunity to work as an IMF advisor to Bank of Sierra Leone to lead to banking reform in this country. Last but not least, AIper represented Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency of Turkey at Bank for International Settlement to contribute to Basel III regulation (definition of capital part) during the financial crises.

Beatrix is a member of AllianzGI’s Global Investment Management Committee and of Allianz SE’s Global Inclusion Council. Prior to her appointment as CSO, Beatrix led AllianzGI’s team of fixed income product specialists, in Europe since 2012 and globally since 2016. Before that, she held various international leadership roles in business development.

Beatrix began her career in the investment banking division of Dresdner Bank, advising institutional clients in equities and fixed income. Before joining AllianzGI Europe in 2002, she held various management positions in business development, marketing/sales and sales co-ordination.

Beatrix graduated with a law degree from the University of Saarland and complemented her skillset in post graduate management courses at Harvard University, ESMT Berlin and LBS London.

Beatrix is member of the international chamber of Commerce, the German International Banking Association and the Conference Board (founding member of the Global Business Women Leaders Council).

David is an energy economist with close to 15 years of experience in the energy sector, 10 of which being within Asia. He currently is Deputy Director for the CESEF research group within the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, helping lead research, education and knowledge transfer in the areas of energy economics and finance, and practices surrounding ESG reporting and integration. David has published around 40 academic articles, primarily in the area of energy economics, spanning micro- and macro-economic topics, energy finance, but also with contributions in business management and accounting literature.

David is a current Council member for the International Association for Energy Economics, where he is the current representative for the Asia-Oceania regional initiatives, and incoming Vice-President for conferences. Additionally David is an Editor for The Energy Journal, a leading international journal for research in energy economics. Closer to home, David serves as a Senior Advisor to The Lantau Group, a specialized energy economics consulting group with operations throughout the Asia-Oceania region where he engages directly with industry and regulators on a range of projects.

David returned to Hong Kong after graduating from the University of Auckland in New Zealand in 2007, working in the second tallest building in Asia, Central Plaza, Harbour. He was a resident engineer in the Central Plaza management team responsible for the operation and maintenance of the building services system. He was assigned to perform regular maintenance work to meet the needs of tenants in terms of indoor environmental quality. He actively participated in the research team of the Polytechnic University to collect indoor environmental quality data and familiar with the practice for good operation while maintaining comfort.

He also involved in counseling for undergraduate and research supervision. He was familiar with the teaching activities, laboratories and research activities of higher education institutions. During this period, he had an opportunity to become an exchange student at Tsinghua University in Beijing and Zhongshan University in Guangzhou. Since the end of 2015, David founded Negawatt to help customers achieve digital transformation for their building, helping customers achieve energy saving, reduce information loss and improve indoor health.

P C Chan is the Chief Operating Officer of HKQAA, in charge of the new services development, resource management, business development and delivery of certification, verification and training services. He has been advocating various projects to promote sustainability and social responsibility in the past 15 years. In 2016, he led the HKQAA technical team to develop the first Green Finance Certification Scheme in Hong Kong, which has been well received in the financial market.

He is a professional consultant in management systems. In past three decades, he had accumulated extensive consulting, auditing and training experience in quality, environment, asset management, crisis management and social responsibility. His professional experience covers several hundred local and multi-international leading organizations in Hong Kong, China Mainland, Philippines, Malaysia and Mexico.

He is a registered Quality Management System Auditor of China Certification and Accreditation Association (CCAA). He became the Certified Six Sigma Black Belt of America Society of Quality (ASQ) and Certified Master Trainer of TL9000 for QuEST Forum in 2005. He has obtained the Master of Science in Quality Management, Higher Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Mr. Kenneth Chau is a pilot of innovative technology in Asia. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1994. He started his career in technology at the age of 25, and is the first Chinese in the world to successfully develop 3D cubic printing technology in Japan. Kenneth joined the technology incubation programme of science park in 2009. In 2012, he led his company to beat more than 7,000 start-ups around the world and won the championship of the NBIA in US, writing a new history for Hong Kong. Kenneth became the chairman of Technology Incubation Network and successfully assisted startups in financing more than 30 times, with funding amount more than 200 million Hong Kong dollars.

Kenneth is the first lecturer in Hong Kong to conduce crowdfunding lecture at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the City University of Hong Kong. He has been appointed as the official group administrator of Kickstarter, the world’s no. one crowdfunding platform. He has assisted nearly 100 projects in online crowdfunding. He is the most experienced crowdfunding strategist in Hong Kong and has named “the father of Hong Kong crowdfunding”.

Kenneth is a famous science and technology columnist in Hong Kong. His articles are published on Apple Daily, Ming Pao, Metro Daily, e-zone, Printing Monthly. His book “The First Funding is Successful” has been launched in May 2019.

Michael Cheng is Head of Government Affairs and Public Relations, Asia Pacific. He is responsible for overseeing the legislative and public policy issues within Asian countries that impact the company. He also drives the development and execution of a strategic government affairs and policy program to increase the reputation and brand with key policy makers.

Michael has over 25 years of experience in the financial and legal services industry. He joins Invesco in 2019 from MSCI Hong Kong where he served as Executive Director, ESG Research and led their APAC corporate governance research. Prior to that, he has held senior positions at Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing, China International Capital Corporation, and the Securities and Futures Commission, in addition to roles at some of the region’s most reputable law firms.

Dr. Cheng is a Professor of Finance and Director of Center for Economic Sustainability and Entrepreneurial Finance at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a member of the Investment Committee of the Hospital Authority Provident Fund Scheme in which he leads the effort in promoting ESG integration for an investment portfolio of about USD 7bil (as of 2018). Dr. Cheng actively engages in ESG and green finance research. In addition to publishing an article and a chapter on Green Bond, he received a grant from CEDB, HKSAR Government with a project cost of over HKD 1mil to conduct ESG training for accountants. His Center also received various donations to conduct research, focus groups and symposiums on ESG integration.

Dr. Cheng graduated with a DBA in Finance from Louisiana Tech University in 1989. He has been a CFPCM certificant since 2001. He has more than 90 articles published in research journals including the Journal of Finance. Dr. Cheng is an author of Fundamentals of Financial Planning, and the lead author of Financial Planning and Wealth Management: An International Perspective, both by McGrawHill. Thomas Haller, Swiss citizen, is the Head of Public Sector Solutions for South-East and East Asia at Swiss Re. Based in Singapore, he joined Swiss Re in November 2017 to lead the public sector business in the ASEAN member states and East Asia (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau), together with a team of Client Managers based in Singapore.

Mr John Ho is the Chief Financial Officer and the Company Secretary of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (“HKCG”; stock code: 0003) and a member of HKCG’s Executive Committee. Professor Erwin Huang is a serial entrepreneur, a leader in a social enterprise and the eLearning field more than 30 years. Currently, he is Associate Professor and Senior Advisor of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, his mission is to teach Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship to university students and to let more young generations understand entrepreneurial spirit, identify social issues, as well as creating social impact through innovations. Since July 1st, 2019 Dr. Christian Hübner is the Director of the Regional Programme Energy Security and Climate Change in Asia-Pacific of the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation (KAS) based in Hong Kong SAR/PR China. Before, he has been the Head of the Regional Programme Energy Security and Climate Change in Latin America of the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation (KAS) based in Lima, Peru. Prior to this position he has worked as Coordinator for environmental, climate and energy policy within the KAS department of European and International Cooperation in Berlin. His thematic priorities are energy transition policy, geopolitics of energy security, economic evaluation of climate policy instruments and Blockchain-Technology. The three years before joining the foundation Christian Hübner has been research associate at a research institute of the Leibniz Association. There, as a trained economist, his focus has been on environmental economic analysis of ecosystems.

Mr. Jacquetin is currently the Managing Partner of Cavendish Investment Corp., a private equity firm.
Mr. Jean-Sébastien Jacquetin has over 20 years of corporate and investment banking experience. Mr. Jacquetin began his career as a Project Officer for UNESCO in Paris and then as an Investment Manager for Natixis Banque both in Paris and New York, where he coordinated fund sponsors and capital markets contacts. Since leaving Natixis Banque, Mr. Jacquetin was with both Meredith Financial Group and Du Pasquier in New York, Citic Hyperion in Hong Kong where he was involved in corporate finance and institutional brokerage. Mr. Jacquetin is currently the Managing Partner of Cavendish Investment Corp., a private equity firm. Mr. Jacquetin has a BSc in Political Science and a MSc in Political Science from the University of Montreal and an MBA from IEP-MBA Sciences Po Paris.

Vincent Kwan is Chief Executive Officer of Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited. He joined Hang Seng Bank in 1998 as Chief Economist and continued to work in that capacity until October 2007. In March 1999, he was appointed Director and General Manager of Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited. Prior to joining Hang Seng, Vincent worked as a sell-side analyst with responsibility for analysing listed companies and various industries as well as for economic forecasting.

Ka Shi Lau is the Managing Director & CEO of BCT Group – comprising BCT Financial Limited (“BCTF”) and Bank Consortium Trust Company Limited (“BCTC”), a key provider of MPF/ORSO products and best-in-class asset servicing for investment funds and pensions with BCTC being one of the largest trust companies in Hong Kong.

Graduated from Cornell University in the US with an MBA, Ka Shi possesses extensive banking and finance experience in the pension and funds industry, and she is a strong advocate of corporate governance (including ESG), retirement protection, social inclusion and diversity, and health care through active participation in government consultations and industry dialogues.

Lau Xin Yi is a Senior Policy Research Analyst (Sustainability) at the Singapore Institute of International Affairs where she has been conducting research on environmental sustainability in ASEAN’s resource sector since 2015. She is actively involved in engagement with corporations and the financial sector with a view to drive sustainability and deepen cross-sector partnerships. Her commentaries covering topics such as transboundary haze pollution, sustainable financing as well as carbon tax have been featured in various media outlets such as The Business Times, The Straits Times, The Myanmar Times, TODAY, The Nation and The Jakarta Post. Since 2017, Xin Yi is also responsible for coordinating the Collaborative Initiative for Green Finance in Singapore and was a co-author of the report, “Singapore as a Green Finance Hub for ASEAN and Asia”, the first Singapore-centric green finance report.
Prior to this, Xin Yi was working at Sustainalytics where she evaluated and benchmarked the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices of public-listed companies in three industries: Consumer Discretionary, Food and Utilities.
Xin Yi holds a Bachelor of Science (Economics) with a second major in Political Science (Public Policy, Development and Management) from the Singapore Management University.

Dr. Li Yao has over 24 years of financial experience. Currently he is the regional Chief Investment Officer covering East Asia and Pacific area for International Finance Corporation (IFC) of World Bank Group, based in Hong Kong. Before this position, he spent over 4 years as the CEO of China-ASEAN Capital Advisory Company Limited, and the Chairman of Investment Committee of China-ASEAN Fund Management Company from mid of 2011 to early 2015.

In late 1990’s, Dr. Li was the co-head of Investment Banking Business for Bank of China (BOC) Group, where he was responsible for setting up the domestic securities business for BOC, and for providing advising services for AIG Asia Infrastructure Fund. He was also with Development Research Centre of State Council covering China opening policy research, and over one year as the Vice General Manager of China PingAn Trust Company, where he was responsible for PingAn Group’s Private Equity investment. Dr. LI holds PhD of Economics from China Renmin University, Master degree and Bachelor degree in economics with China Nankai University and Nanjing University. He also joined the several advanced executive financial programs.

Mr Laurence Li, SC is the Chairman of the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC). The FSDC is an advisory body to the HKSAR Government on all matters relating to the development of Hong Kong as an international financial centre. It engages the industry in formulating proposals to promote the further development of the financial services industry of Hong Kong and to map out the strategic direction for the development.

Mr Li’s profession is as a practicing barrister. He focuses on banking, commercial, company, and securities law. Prior to being called to the Hong Kong Bar, he served in several positions within the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong and, before that, worked in a law firm in New York.

Mr Li is a Judge of the International Court and Regulatory Tribunal in Doha, Qatar. He is also a Fellow of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, an Honorary Fellow of the Asian Institute of International Financial Law at The University of Hong Kong, and a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Financial Regulation and Economic Development at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Mr Lui is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.

Mr Lui is a Fellow Member of The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and a Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He was elected President of HKICPA in 1997.

He was a Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) in Hong Kong, Lead Director of the Board of Partners and a member of the Global Board of PwC International Limited.

Mr Lui has been active in public and community service. Currently, he is Chairman of the Education Commission and a member of the University Grants Committee and the Public Service Commission.

Currently, Mr Lui is a Director of the Academy of Finance. He is also a member of the Financial Leaders Forum and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s Exchange Fund Advisory Committee and Banking Advisory Committee.

Dr. Ma Weihua was an Executive Director as well as the President and CEO of China Merchants Bank, concurrently served as the Chairman of the board of directors for Wing Lung Bank Ltd., CIGNA & CMC life Insurance Company Ltd. and China Merchants Fund Management Co. Ltd..
He holds a Ph.D. in economics. Dr. Ma was a Deputy to the 10th National People’s Congress (NPC), a member of the 11th and the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He holds positions in many organizations currently, including the chairman of National fund for Techology Transfer and Commercialization(NFTTC) ,the chairman of China Global Philanthropy Institute, the chairman of One Foundation. Dr. Ma also teaches as an adjunct professor in several top Chinese
universities including Peking University and Tsinghua University. In March 2019, Dr. Ma was appointed as Chairman of SDG Financing Advisory Committee and UNDP China Special Advisor.
Before joining China Merchants Bank, Dr. Ma served on multiple government positions, including Director of the Party Office in CPC Liao Ning Committee and CPC An Hui Committee, Deputy Director of the General Office of PBC, Deputy Director of the Finance and Planning Office of PBC, as well as Governor of PBC Hainan Branch and Chief of SAFE Hainan Branch.

Desmond Ng is a member of AllianzGI’s Global Executive Committee. He joined the firm in 2014 and is responsible for overall leadership in retail and institutional businesses for the region. Previously, he was the CEO, Greater China and South East Asia and Head of Institutional Business, Asia Pacific.

Desmond has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining AllianzGI, he was the CEO, Greater China at Invesco, overseeing its retail, institutional and exchange-traded fund businesses. Desmond has previously held a number of senior positions in institutional marketing, business development and product management at JP Morgan Asset Management.

He was appointed Chairman of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association from 2009 to 2011 and was Vice Chairman of the Association from 2008 to 2009. Desmond holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management and a Master of Business Administration degree from Clark University, USA.

Mr Eric PANG, JP is the Deputy Director of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) of The HKSAR Government. He is currently responsible for enforcing legislations mandating the efficient use of energy in HK and safety of various electrical and mechanical facilities. For energy efficiency and conservation, other than legislations for building energy efficiency, energy efficiency product labelling and district cooling system, it is promoted proactively through various means to the public. Mr PANG is a fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and a Chartered Engineer. He is the Immediate Past Chairman of the HKIE Gas and Energy Division.

Peter Pang is the firm’s Principal in Risk Advisory. He has extensive experiences in managing corporate governance, risk management, internal control review, internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley and other assurance projects for local, regional and international clients.
Peter has more than 20 years of risk and assurance experience. Prior to joining BDO, he was the Head of Risk of a listed aircraft leasing company with operations in Asia, Europe and America. He also worked in a large international accounting and advisory firm as head of department.
Peter served clients in various industries with a focus on financial services, including banking, securities, fund and asset management, trust operation, investment banks, aircraft leasing, airlines, regulatory and professional organisations, public services, property development, trading, manufacturing and retailing.

Mr Kevin Rideout joined HKEX in April 2015 as Head of the Global Client Development. He is principally responsible for the global client sales, relationship management, marketing activities and market development.
Mr Rideout joined HKEX from Citigroup, where he served as Head of Wholesale Execution Services, Asia and was Chief Spokesman on the implementation of Stock Connect in Hong Kong. Prior to this, he was based in London for Citigroup as the Global Head of Market Infrastructures and HFT Clearing Group.
Prior to joining Citigroup, Mr Rideout spent 10 years at Thomson Reuters. He held various positions in Thomson Reuters, including Regional Manager Hong Kong, Regional Director Japan and Korea, Managing Director Asia in Singapore and Managing Director – Global Head of Relationship Management and Sales in London. Mr Rideout holds a Bsc (Hons) Environmental Chemistry from the University of Hertfordshire UK.

With 20+-year experience in the fund management industry with more than 10 years at top ranking investment banking firms (JP Morgan, Citi and Credit Suisse), Cedric has been managing fixed income portfolios and analyzing corporate bonds during the most part of his career, most recently as the Head of Emerging Markets Corporate Credit Research at an independent credit research company. He’s been managing teams of analysts and acting as a principal of small investment teams in various capacities.
He earned a Business Degree from EM Lyon in France, including a one year exchange program at Waseda University in Tokyo, a Master’s in Finance from the London Business School and he is currently enrolled in the joint Executive MBA program of INSEAD in Singapore and Tsinghua University in Beijing. He is a CFA charter holder and member of the CFA Society in Singapore. Since relocating for the second time to Asia six years ago (Bangkok and Singapore), he has been developing investable projects in the climate finance space in South East Asia. He’s been a consultant for the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia Pacific (including Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines) on Green Finance.

As a member of the Global Equities team, he provides support for the lead portfolio manager of the Global High Alpha strategy. Paul also manages the Global Sustainability portfolio and was previously the lead portfolio manager for this strategy.

Mr. Philip Siu obtained his Master of Arts Degree from Cambridge University and Master of Business Administration Degree from Chinese University. Mr. Siu has been working in Towngas for 34 years since his graduation from Cambridge University in UK in 1985, and is currently the Chief Operating Officer of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited running the new energy business. In this capacity, he is heading ECO Environmental Investments Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Towngas, with a diversified energy portfolio operating 5 dedicated LPG filling stations; a Permanent Aviation Fuel Facility at Tuen Mun Area 38, two landfill gas utilization projects in Hong Kong; plus a range of new energy projects in Mainland and overseas.

Noel N. Verdote – Sustainable Energy/ Climate Finance and Energy Management Expert with over 30 years of professional experience working with private and development-oriented organizations. Currently, heads the ADFIAP Finance and Investment Center and leads business development to facilitate deal flows among ADFIAP members and network, including blended finance with Convergence. Successfully led IFC Philippines Sustainable Energy Finance (SEF) program and catalyzed private sector investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in partnership with private banks; supported development of nascent SEF programs in Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and Latin America. Consulted with national government implemented projects on low carbon, green development, market transformation, among others, funded by ADB, UNDP-GEF, JICA, USAID, ASEAN-EC, EU-SWITCH. Expert resource/speaker/trainer on integrative themes of energy management, sustainable development and climate change/finance. A licensed Mechanical Engineer with Master of Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology and Master of Business Administration from the Melbourne Business School-University of Melbourne, and a Certified Expert on Climate and Green Finance from Frankfurt School and Renewables Academy AG (RENAC).

Mr. Paul Wong is currently the CEO of Federal Group Global Ltd, the patent holder of the award-winning technology at the 46th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva in 2018. The lighting technology awarded with the Prize of Patent Office of Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf – GCCPO and a special gold medal in Geneva exhibited the features in sustainability, energy saving, and long life expectancy through the unconventional design in power supply.

With more than 25 years of experience in emerging technology manufacturing and market development in different countries and cities, Mr. Wong started the collaboration with Prof. Ron Hui of the University of Hong Kong in the development of Sustainable Lighting Technology in 2011. The technology won the distinguished William E. Newell Power Electronics Award in IEEE Industry.

Mr. Wong has successfully carried out the commercialization for this unique technology and invention. A series of lighting devices and application used in smart city has been developed, namely, S-Light, featured with Passive LED power supply has received the enormous interests from the market. Pilot projects with trial testing have already taken place in Jiangmen in mainland China as well as two other locations in Hong Kong invited by The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD). The product and related technology continues to receive recognition from the market, including The Hong Kong Green Innovation Awards (Merit) in 2018 and Sustainable Business Award in 2019.

Mr. Wong has a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Taiwan University. He is also a member of Hong Kong City University Foundation and Federation of Hong Kong Industries.

Chris joined the firm in 2018 and is responsible for ESG integration and stewardship in Asia Pacific, and maximising investment value through ESG research, engagement and proxy voting. Her global sector coverage for ESG research includes Industrial, Information Technology, Consumer and Real Estate.

Chris has more than 10 years of experience in ESG in Asia Pacific. Before joining Allianz Global Investors, she worked at Ernst & Young as Climate Change and Sustainability Services Manager, enabling listed companies to establish ESG policies and management framework; improve ESG performance; and deliver meaningful disclosure and communication on material ESG issues to the financial market.

Previously she worked at CSR Asia, focused on advisory services for organisations from public and private sectors on sustainability materiality assessment, enhancing risk management, and improving performance.
Chris has a B.A in English (International Trade) from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, China.

Mr. Yip is a seasoned investment professional working primarily in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and managing companies in China.
He has extensive domain expertise in investment with broad general management experience in addition to strategic consulting, private equity investment and business development functions with corporations and investment funds.
He is the Secretary General and the CEO of the Treelion Foundation with the mission to create a digital business ecosystem to facilitate capital flows globally for all participants of the green economy. He is also the Vice Chairman of Elion International Investment Limited under Elion Resources Group, a conglomerate with a diverse portfolio spanning from ecological restoration, to clean energy and technology, investment banking, and asset management.
Prior to joining Elion, he was the Founding Managing Director of P & S Investment Management (HK) Limited and Director of Environmental Investments for Olympus Capital for the Asia Environmental Partners. He has also served as a business strategist and advisor of the Cheung Kong Group, a Hong Kong based global business conglomerate, in areas of environmental technology, agriculture, biotechnology, clean and renewable energy.
Mr. Yip is enrolled as a Catto Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of its Aspen Global Leadership Network, State Alumni of US Department of State. He is also the Founding Director of Centre for Environmental Management Education and Development of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
In public service, Mr. Yip is a Member of Quality Education Fund Investment Committee. He also served as a Member of the Environment and Conservation Fund Investment Committee, a Member of Small and Medium Enterprises Committee, a Member of the Advisory Council on the Environment of the HKSAR Government, and a Specialist Advisor of Hong Kong 2030 Planning Vision and Strategy.

Naoyuki Yoshino is Dean of the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI); Professor Emeritus of Keio University, Tokyo, Japan; and Senior Adviser at the Japan Financial Services Agency’s (FSA) Financial Research Center (FSA Institute). He obtained his PhD from Johns Hopkins University, where his thesis supervisor was Sir Alan Walters (who was Margaret Thatcher’s Economic Adviser). He was appointed board of the Financial Planning Standards Board in 2007, and also served as chairperson of the Japanese Ministry of Finance’s council on Foreign Exchange and its Fiscal System Council (Fiscal Investment and Loan Program Section). He was also a board member of the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Japan, chairperson of the Meeting of Japanese Government Bond Investors (Ministry of Finance), and was President of the Financial System Council of the Government of Japan. He is the President of Financial Education Council organized by the Central Bank of Japan, Financial Services Agency (FSA), Ministry of Education, Cabinet Ministry and private financial institutions.
