class=\"pt1\">\n<li>Design a multi-functional bed to be used in small cubicle areas or sub-divided units to help residents maximize or improve their use of space<\/li>\n<li>Design must meet the following conditions:\n<ul class=\"pt1\">\n<li>Beds must be able to accommodate two adults and a 6 to 12 year old child<\/li>\n<li>Beds must have multi-functions, such as storage, seating and working<\/li>\n<li>Beds can have other functions but feasibility must be considered<\/li>\n<li>Production costs must also be considered during the design process<\/li>\n<li>Beds must be easy to assemble and dissemble for easy transportation<\/li>\n<li>Beds must best be made from environmentally friendly materials or recycled materials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div> <div class=\"ezcol ezcol-one-half ezcol-last\">\n<strong>Tertiary Groups<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"pt\">\n<li>Participants must create an interior design solution that fits a three-person household living in cubicles or sub-divided units. The objective is to design low cost, economical solutions that offer comfortable home environments and learning space for children.<\/li>\n<li>Submission of designs must consider the aspects of spatial planning, lighting design, furniture layout and use of environmentally friendly materials. The submissions must also be energy efficient, offer sufficient ventilation and make effective use of natural and artificial light.<\/li>\n<li>Designs should meet the following specifications for:<div id=\"wp-spoiler-1\" class=\"wp-spoiler wpui-hashable wpui-light wpui-styles\" data-style=\"wpui-light\">  <h3 class=\"wp-spoiler-title wpui-hashable fade-true slide-true open-false\">The indoor environment:<\/h3><div class=\"wpui-hidden wp-spoiler-content\">\n<ul class=\"pt\">\n<li>The entire interior floor space will be approximately 70 square feet.<\/li>\n<li>Orientation : Facing northwest, with direct strong sunshine throughout the afternoon<\/li>\n<li>This room is facilitated with one glass window with area of 1.4 (H) x 3 (W) meters. Applicants under the age of 18 are required to submit the \u201cDeclaration of Participation\u201d form signed by a guardian, or other school teachers.<\/li>\n<li>After the deadline of application on 20 January, 2014 all participating teams will receive an email invite to join the Briefing Session on 25 January, 2014. A \u201cCompetition ID Card\u201d will also be given out to each team on the same day.<\/li>\n<li>Participating teams shall prepare their designs according to the guidelines provided during the Briefing Session, and submit the design in PDF format, together with the &#8220;Competition ID Card&#8221; by e-mail to <a href=\"mailto:inventor@thewgo.org\">inventor@thewgo.org<\/a> on or before 10 February, 2014, 5:00 pm.<\/li>\n<li>By the end of February 2014, the judge will select 10 teams as finalists from both the Secondary and Tertiary Group for the final round and the finalists will be notified to attend a variety of free workshops held during March and April 2014. These workshops are mainly to help the finalists further improve their designs and innovative concepts.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, all finalists are required to submit the final design and demonstration models,\u00a0 on or before 19 May, 2014.
