World Green Organisation (WGO) is an independent non-governmental organisation with an operation of HK$13 million in 2015 with 23 full time staff. WGO is dedicated to enhancing the quality of the environment, promoting a green economy, and improving people’s livelihoods, especially underprivileged groups, through a range of research and community programmes. To cope with its expansion, WGO is inviting passionate individuals of high professional caliber to join its team of experts.

Social Innovation Inventor Competition – Over 360 teams of tertiary and secondary students amounting to over 1,000 students channeled their creativity to provide innovative solutions to tackle social issues, for example, to improve the quality of life of elders with Alzheimer through environmental-friendly and safe home design. Students are encouraged to show care to the needy and understand the hardships faced by many in our society.

Linking Food with Love – Food recycling teams composed of youths, who help collect edible but unsold surplus vegetables from wet markets in order to avoid disposal. This has reduced 7 tonnes of food waste, promote young-elderly integration through vegetable collection, upcycling workshops and redistribute 230 surplus food package to underprivileged families and the elderly.

The “Less Waste Let’s Do it” Program successfully trained up more than 40 youngsters to become 3R Ambassadors through a series of environmental workshops and site visits. The Ambassadors has designed, planned and executed their own green programmes – Exchange Corner, Green Fair, Upcycling Workshops for community in which local residents are encouraged to actively participate as well as foster behavioral change in daily life.

The Green Office Program (GOALS) supported over 250 offices in their efforts to improve workplace sustainability, including the Airport Authority HK, DHL Express, Ernst and Young, Fuji Xerox, JP Morgan, Sasa International and so on. Qualified companies are entitled to receiving WGO Green Office Label and United Nations Label.

The Energy Poverty Program helped over 300 low-income families in sub-divided flats to reduce their economic burden by cutting down their electricity bills through replacing their electrical appliances with more efficient models and equipping them with energy saving skills.

Other projects include Climate Change Forum in collaboration with HK Observatory, University of Cambridge as well as other universities in Hong Kong; and poverty alleviation works carried out in Burmese villages. Programmes were reported by CNN, TVB, ATV, RTHK, CR1, Cable TV, Now TV and Phoenix TV.

Media Manager


  • Ensure all communication activities are aligned with the organisational development strategy and brand standards
  • Plan & execute plans for integrated communication strategy to obtain expanded reach and impact
  • Prepare press conference and press release
  • Create high quality collateral / marketing material, including program literature, e-newsletters to engage different sectors


  • Degree holder in Public Relations, Communications or related disciplines
  • Over 10 years of experience in Media or Corporate Communications
  • Solid experience in copy writing and literature production
  • Excellent command of both written Chinese
  • Good relationship with media is a MUST
  • Knowledge in social media communication strategy is an advantage.
  • Environmental knowledge is not a must

Project Development Manager/ Officer


  • Ensure effective implementation and coordination of a range of activities and initiatives, aligning with clients’ projects and requirements, aiming to make positive changes on the environmental protection and poverty combating;
  • Coordinate with different project partners, engaging suppliers, contractors and stakeholders;
  • Participate in the design of project mechanisms, including logistic arrangement in the fundraising stage;
  • Carry out project monitoring, review, reporting and evaluation based on funding proposal.


  • Degree holder in social work, marketing, environment or communication with at least 4 years of relevant experience;
  • Able to work independently, multi-tasked and result-oriented;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Environmental knowledge is not a must;
  • Candidates with less experience will be positioned as Officer.

Corporate Engagement and Training Manager


  • Develop Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) policy for business corporations;
  • Support the listed companies in building up a reporting framework on Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) to satisfy the compliance of The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (“HKEx”)’s new guideline;
  • Execute stakeholder engagement to map different stakeholders and identify their perspectives and expectations;
  • Assist Head of training to develop strategic sustainability policies and plans on the operational level for business corporations ; and
  • Carry out CSR-related and Risk management training designed for business corporations.


  • Degree holder in accounting, corporate governance, business administration or environment with at least 4 years of work experience;
  • Professional qualification, education on company secretary or legal background is an advantage;
  • Able to work independently, multi-tasked and result-oriented;
  • Good presentation and communications skill;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • Environmental knowledge is not a must.

Marketing Manager/ Senior Marketing Manager

  • Plan and execute the marketing plans and promotion activities for green programs, aiming to make positive changes on the environmental protection
  • Provide support to formulate media strategy and placement
  • Organise and execute WGO’s flagship public events with charity purpose
  • Suggest and implement creative marketing concepts and innovative core programmes for project development, and other public and business engagement
  • Liaise and form partnership with different stakeholders, company representatives, district councilors and property management companies


  • University degree holder
  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing or event management
  • Strong organisational skills and attend to details
  • Able to work independently, multi-tasked and result-oriented
  • Environmental knowledge is not a must
